Hello believers! I know my music releasing periodicity is little bit discreet. But for any of you believers who follow me, you already know my work is constant.
It’s true that my new song releases aren’t continuous. Which, nowadays, is unusual. But this isn’t the result of artistic passivity, nor a lack of creativity or work. It’s actually a commitment to something that, in the age of artificial intelligence and meaningless music, is no longer in vogue. It’s called integrity. Responsibility towards a way of creating and working that’s no longer fashionable.
But you know me, I like to buck the system; just like you. That’s the real essence of rock.
Rock is and always was rebellion, nonconformity, and following your own rules instead of what the industry, politics, or social trends dictate.
For some time now, I’ve tried to reconcile all this whirlwind of technology and artificiality with my music. But while it’s something taht it can work relatively well for some technical aspects in management, promotion, and financial structure, in the field of real art, it seems like garbage to me.
I mean, I assume I should to use some tools that are useful for an independent artist who doesn’t have a major label behind him supporting certain processes. Like creating some artwork and a few music videos from time to time (like the one we made for When Jericho Falls). I don’t like it so much, but I’m OK with this. The visuals are part of my work, but it was never the central point of my artistic work. So, since I stopped working with major labels, it was never easy to cover that part and is legitimate for me to play with technology in this.
Hey, I’m not going to lie to you. I’m an opened mind guy. Work with AI visuals wasn’t a bad experience. Therefore, overwhelmed by the pressure of watching other artists churn out music on streaming platforms, I also tried creating a few pieces using Suno and others a few moths ago. But..meh… It doesn’t sound bad, but the final feeling is like a feckin’ drill pounding in my brain. There’s something about this creations that sounds mortifying to anyone with any sensitivity. I can’t say what it is, but is in there. That’s something I know for sure. Not my cup of tea after all…
It was because of all that unpalatable plastic and artificiality of commercial music that I left the major labels a few years ago. And that’s why I release my music on my own label.
And that’s why I follow my own way, creating music and dedicating most of my time to performing live, where the human touch remains the most important and necessary element.
In this way, I continue to creating real songs at the old style. With genuine & human production. Remainin’ detached from the commercial industry in my personal crusade for the survival of rock. Not only as a musical style, but as a method of protest against the zombification of society and as a rebellious response for future generations of misfits who don’t fit into this false, unnatural, plastic society.
On September 1th, my new single will be released worldwide.
Okay, no panic. You’ll can listen to it in all the plasticized streaming services you want. And we’ll probably have a video with a certain amount of plasticization as well. That’s my condescending part towards the industry.
But after this capitulation; in every note, lyric, voice, and instrument, you’ll only hear humanity above all. Real, without artifice.
This is who I am. That’s my way. And that’s the way rock & roll is and why it differs from other styles, whether industry like it or not.
When you have something important to say, and this something is related to the deepest meaning of human depth, you can coexist with technology walking your path in the razor’s edge. Using and leaning on it. But for the core of the fruit, you need organic, spiritual and human soul… with no exception.
Be rock! Be resistance! Be a believer!
